Tapered skeleton hands and a slender seconds hand adorn the round mother of pearl dial, which includes applied silvertone indexes and a date display at the six o'clock hour. The dial is set in a hard steel case and framed by a brushed steel bezel with twelve real diamond accents. Tapered lugs flow gracefully into a beautiful link bracelet, in gleaming polished steel with brushed steel center links. The bracelet fastens securely with a deployment buckle. Other notable features of this watch include exact Japanese quartz motion, a screw down caseback, and a steel crown with fluted edges and a crown protector. This Bulova watch is rated water tolerant to 100 meters.
About Bulova
In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova has been trained as a jeweler, and his specialty carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the new and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch. Bulova presented its 1st line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and TV ads declared, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of novelty, Bulova presented Accutron, the 1st electronic watch, and the 1st breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing system was afterward adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams. Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse group of beautiful precision timepieces for each occasion.
